Ker Gonan sleeps up to eight guests across four double bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom. There is no sofa bed or additional sleeping arrangement – the house is designed for eight, and we keep it that way.

The house is a lovely space for families. A travel cot can easily be added for younger children, and the beach is just steps away. A few things worth knowing before you arrive: all four bedrooms are on the upper floor, accessible by staircase – there is no ground-floor bedroom, which is also relevant for guests with limited mobility. The house has a slightly raised terrace, and direct beach access means young children should always be supervised near the water.

The heart of the house is a beautiful open-plan kitchen and dining room – the kind of space where everyone naturally congregates, whether you are cooking together, having a drink, or sitting down for a long meal. There are also two outdoor terraces, one facing the sea and one overlooking the garden, both of which can be set up for dining outside.

Ker Gonan does not have air conditioning – and on the Breton coast, it is rarely needed. The house is well insulated and naturally cool, and with the sea breeze that comes off the water, opening the windows is usually all it takes. Summer on this stretch of coastline tends to be kind.

Booking with us is personal, never automated. Above, you'll find a live availability calendar – check your dates, then send us an enquiry with your group size. We'll reply personally, usually within 48 hours, with a tailored quote. Once you're happy, a deposit and a simple rental agreement secure your dates. From there we help with any pre-stay planning, and throughout your stay you have our concierge support on hand.

Not at all. While Ker Gonan is listed on a small number of carefully selected platforms and partner sites, booking directly with Maison Estran always gives you the most complete experience. Guests who book directly benefit from a welcome aperitivo on arrival, full house and beach linen, a mid-stay refresh clean, and personalised concierge support.

There is no minimum, but we would encourage you not to leave it too long. The most popular weeks tend to fill quickly, often well in advance. We generally open the calendar up to twelve months ahead, so if you have dates in mind, it is always worth reaching out early to avoid disappointment.

Standard check-in is from 5pm, and check-out is by 10am. We always do our best to accommodate an early arrival or late departure when the schedule allows – and this is always offered free of charge. During peak season, back-to-back changeovers can make flexibility harder to guarantee. If timing matters to you, just let us know in advance and we will do what we can.

Ker Gonan sits directly on the Plage du Nohac in Le Pouliguen, one hour by car from Nantes and its international airport. Within Le Pouliguen itself, everything is easily reachable on foot, and the area lends itself well to cycling. That said, a car gives you real freedom to explore the wider coastline and surrounding region, and we would recommend having one if you want to venture further afield.

Every stay includes a pre-arrival clean and a thorough clean on departure, all house and beach linens, a welcome aperitivo, and personalised concierge support. Stays of longer duration include one or more mid-stay refresh cleans.

Absolutely. We can help arrange private dining and other bespoke services to make your stay more special. Please reach out and we will share what is available for your dates.

Payment is made in two equal instalments: 50% on booking, and the remaining 50% two months before arrival. A security deposit of €3,500 is due one week before arrival and returned within 72 hours of departure, following the final property check. Payments are accepted by bank transfer or via secure Stripe link. Please note that card payments via Stripe carry a 3% processing fee. All amounts must be received in euros, net of any bank transfer or conversion charges.

All payments are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, no refund will be issued – however, a one-time date change within twelve months of your original arrival date may be considered. There is no additional fee if the request is made at least 45 days before arrival; a fee of 25% of the total rental amount applies if requested within 45 days. Any rate difference for the new dates is payable by the guest. In the exceptional case of unavoidable circumstances at the destination, Maison Estran reserves the right to cancel and will refund in accordance with applicable legal conditions.

We love animals, but unfortunately we are not able to welcome pets at Ker Gonan. We hope you understand.

Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas only – never inside the house or in any covered space. Even outdoors, we ask that you smoke away from the furniture and cushions, and take every care with cigarette ends. Please ensure they are fully extinguished and disposed of responsibly – never in the garden or the surrounding environment.
